Sort of like floating around in a round cage. My brother-in-law and nephew have been to the windtunnel in Eloy, AZ. Very strong fans **** air up through the top of the building, giving people lift. Instructors keep people stable while they hover. Sorry, not sure where to find a windtunnel in CA. Check out skydiveaz.com for more details.

Indoor skydiving is body flying in a column of air. This is a place where skydivers can work on free fall skills without having to jump out of a plane. It is a great place of people to learn to fly their bodies. We call it indoor skydiving because the body flight is the same, or very nearly the same as making a skydive. The bonus of the tunnel is more time in the air, and you can learn faster than a jump, pack, plane ride, jump.

Here are some links to windtunnels. I have flown in the tunnel in Colorado and have seen the ones in AZ and Perris Valley CA. Wonderful places. I just love to fly my parachute and free fall, so I spend most of my money at the drop zone.
