The tunnel instructors are there in the wind column with you at first all the time. As you progress and become a better and better body flier they will stand on the outside edge and let you fly your body by your self. The are always there ready to help if you get into trouble. When you start to learn new skills such as back flying, sit flying or head down flying they will again be very active in the wind with you and step back gradually as your skill increases. I have only about 15 minutes in the tunnel in Colorado. I figure I have the money to jump out of a plane for fly in the tunnel. I’d rather skydive! But I do love the tunnel. I plan on getting some more time in there soon. 300+ jumps and 15 mins in the tunnel. I’ve just started to really learn how to fly!
